  1. i like REd, or Melon Green, i think those would accent black and white very well

  2. Bright yellow would look good with these colors and add some interest but only on one wall or other limited area--remaining walls could be white.  Also maybe an abstract painting of black and yellow on white in black or silver frame.  Perhaps you could display some yellow and black dishes, etc.

  3. I'm leaning toward walls painted in the tan/yellow family: You could accent with blacks and reds.

This shows how black, red, yellow and various shades of tan can be used as a palate:

  4. Pretty much anything you want. Those are all pretty neutral colors and shades, so you could paint whatever color you want.

  5. Pumpkin orange

  6. reds, oranges, greens, blues, purples...you have an open palate so you can interchange the colors :)

  7. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think "bohemian black" (# 6988) would look very modern. And since it's in a kitchen with white cabinets, it won't be so overwhelming. Check out this kitchen done in black & white:

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

  8. If you go with the right kind of red, it would look really good.. especially with white cabinets. However, Red is a tricky color! We just painted our bathroom red and had to use gray primer first, because it doesn't cover white very good at all! Also, every little imperfection in the wall shows up, so unless you have really smooth walls I wouldn't use it.

  9. red i agree
