What color scheme would look best in a room with light tan rug and light tan walls?

teal or blue looks really good with tans. so does pink, so its up to you.

If you're looking for a cool, sleek look, I would go for either a combination of light, icy blue with a darker, almost slate blue with silver accents. (Wouldn't hurt to throw a medium blue in with that mix, either.) Another sleek choice would be light grey with a light lime green. With a neutral tan rug and walls, it's hard to go wrong. I would stay away from coppery tones of yellow and orange.
