I'm 13 and not sure what color I should paint my room..I need a color that matches this bed set that I just bought:

I have white wood carved furniture and as of now my walls are light blue but I want something different that will make my room "pop".

  1. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think it would look cool to keep your walls light blue, but then paint diagonal stripes, diamonds or checkers on at least one wall in a black like "caviar" (# 6990).

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

  2. Depends on how your room is set up, but consider a standard rectangle for a sec. Your bed is at one end of the rectangle and the rest of your furniture around the room, right? So what about painting the wall closest to the head of your bed that Hot Pink and leaving the other walls white with maybe a black pin stripe or small pattern on it? Picking up the pattern in the bedding. Like you could do the top of the walls in that heart shape as a border, then do small stripes down the walls. I would ignore the blue in it for the most part, unless that's your favorite color, but trust me, that blue doesn't look that great on the walls. I tried that in my room, and I have white furniture with hardwood floors. Most likely I will repaint a slightly darker shade soon. After I finish with the rest of the house.

  3. how about a contrasting color such as yellow or neon green or neon orange

  4.

I would paint the room Red.It would look great with the Black & White. 9/02

  5. the walls in the room shown are grayish, you could do that and paint one wall blue or pink. you don't want too much of a bright color in your bedroom though.

  6. I think you should go with the hot pink walls and maybe a blue accent wall, since the bedding has more blue than pink. You don't want too much of one color in a room. That would look adorable!

  7. hmmm i think it would look cool with the walls either blue or pink or altrinate the colors with the walls so like one blue the naxt pink anthe next one blue a gain hope this helps

  8. Nice choice, I like it!

I would paint 3 walls gray, and the 4th a blue, pink, white, or black.  Then you can put up shelves painted in an accent color if you chose to go with the black/white/grey route.  I think it'd look pretty sweet :)

I have a bedspread that is kind of similar.  I have an alcove in my bedroom that my bed fits perfectly into.  I painted the alcove black. (The rest of my walls are white...and there is a window in the alcove..so it is not dark and depressing like you would think) Everyone thought i was crazy before I started...but it turned out awesome!
