I am 16 years old and repainting my room so it looks more like a teenager's room. I bought the comforter I wanted but I just can't decide what color would look best on my walls. Here's the comforter: http://www4.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6E.aspx?DeptID=59474&CatID=59538&GrpTyp=ENS&ItemID=150b758&attrtype=&attrvalue=&CmCatId=59474|59488|59538

I have a small bedroom and I don't want it to look little girlish. I also have a white trim and brown furniture. What color would look best?

  1. I like the light blue from the bedding...

its not TOO girlish and it wont over-bare your other furniture,,,

  2. i would suggest greeens ... make sure you have a feture wall a few shades darker or even feture wallpaper with a pattern as that is very in and mature at this point decorate the bed with feture cushion and use pictures // canvas above the bed ... decorating a room colour does not matter it is the way in which you dress the room that matters so keep it all grown up and do not clutter it as that makes it look like a younger persons room to also go for light shades on all walss apart from feture to make room feel bigger

  3. You need to paint your room either pink or aqua or if you have chair rail in your room then paint pink for the top and aqua for the bottom half of your room.  Take your comforter to Lowes and they will match the color exact for the best results.

  4. Maybe a blue, that would match your brown furniture,  a bit darker then the blue on your comforter though, it'd go with white trim smashingly.  Hope I helped!

  5. you can paint it cream like in the picture - it's really nice and not too girly or light green or beige.

  6. I say the white trim would work and plus, the brown doesn't always fit perfectly with the comforter. Go with any kind of white as long it's not blank white. There's certain all kinds of white. Well, good luck figuring out what you're doing with your room.

  7. I'd try some pastel colors, considering the fact that your bedspread has pastel colors.

I'd also just try neutral colors, but I don't know any colors that can go with brown and white AND pastels that nicely...

  8. maybee green or red..

bright colors make ur room BIG and dark colors make ur room small my rooms orange but i think maybe dark pink or green..

  9. well, it looks like your bed is going to be the focal point of the room. so you should have a light coloured paint. maybe a pale pastel yellow, baby blue, or green. or an off white that's got a tinge of pink, blue, green, or yellow.

  10. Either the palest of the pinks or the moss green colour.  Depends how dark you want to go.

If you don't want it to be really feminine - go with the moss green.  If it might be a bit too much on all the walls, do a single wall in the green and do the others in either white or cream (which colour is in the bedding?) to lighten it up.  Remember, paint is not expensive and if you are really unhappy with the colour you can repaint!
