I am remodeling a basement to become an apartment. Like I said the tiles are marble green, whick I find difficult to match with paint. I do know that I am having a wood look wiith the apartment. I have two bookshelves that are mohagany (they were a gift) and some room dividers that are a black wood. I am having such a difficult time finding colors to match all this.....PLEASE HELP!

And I cannot change the tiles (long story)

  1. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think it would look terrific to contrast the tiles with a muted violet like "ponder" (# 7079).

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

  2. light yellow or light brown...i think this color matches the green tiles
