What color should I paint my walls if my carpet is a blue/teal color?

I'm wanting to redo my bedroom but I have no clue what color to paint my walls. I have blue/teal colored carpet, white closet doors, and the furniture is a white oak/cream-like color. Please tell me what color would best complement the carpet and furniture. Any suggestions for bedspread and curtain colors would help too!

ps. I don't want a dark nor pale color. I was thinking something bright and vibrant, or at least not too dull and depressing.

If you want to tone it down a little,go for a coffee brown ,beige tones...but if you want a vibrant color scheme, try painting the walls  some shade of yellow,depending on the kind of carpet you have.

I agree with the other response that beige or light brown would be nice. I have a hand-me-down teal futon and am probably going to use a soft brown (milk chocoloate colour) in my living room.

That said, for something a bit warmer, I recently did my bathroom in teal, and it looks great with my towels, which are a soft golden yellow. Maybe you could use the gold colour on your walls?  

If you're feeling brave, a soft orange would also work - it's opposite blue on the colour wheel, so would complement the teal.
