What color should I paint...?

my kitchen? It currently has a federal blue wallpaper below the chair railing and a white wallpaper with a small rust colored flower on the top. The counter tops are a rust colored that must stay, even though I would like to change them. The floor is a greyish stone tile. Cabinets are brown and wooden. My living room can be seen though a doorway to the kitchen and I just finished painting it a medium warm brown with accent walls a very light blue. The entrance from the front door will be a light blue and the office on the other side of that will be a darker blue with the bottom paneling below the chair railing painted white. I am redoing my complete house almost. But I don't know what to make the kitchen? I was thinking blue, but am afraid that it will be too much blue. Was thinking yellow or a darker shade of yellow, like a mustard for below the chair railing and a lighter yellow up top. The only problem is that yellow is not a favorite color of mine and I kinda cringe at yellow. Any ideas? I also have an adjoining powder room that I painted a blue--like a seashore blue. I guess right now my kitchen looks kind of country and my liv room certainly does not with the brown walls.

play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. I think "repose gray" (# 7015) might be a good color choice.
