I will be getting a 80-90 gal tank soon and i'm not sure what color would look good on it. I already have two 29 gal tanks that I painted black. What would be a good color?

  1. What kind of fish are you going to get?  I'd think about that first, because some colors may end up "washing out" the fish, and not showing their colors as well.  Also, what color is the substrate?  That can also have an effect on it as well.

  2. black backgrounds are pretty cool.

In some fish stores, the blue~light blue background looks nice.

  3. lime green

  4. WHITE:

Guaranteed any fish will stand out like a sore thumb, as will all plants and ornaments.  You will have no trouble spotting your fave fish.  Although provide hiding holes for them.

    Hope this helps :-)

  5. A dark turquoise

  6. dark blue

  7. i think a light silvery colour would make it look fresh and clean and more open than black.

  8. Black. I also have a black sand substrate. Black background with white sand or gravel looks good too.

  9. A navy blue or marine blue would look really pretty.
