What color should i paint my room? (details)?

Okay so im moving, and i need ideas to design my room! I am a 16 typical girly girl. However, my last room was pink, so i dont want another pink room! I want my room to be more mature..i love the store freepeople and i love their store layout...its very earthy and floral and gorgeous! (like anthropologie) I also love the show, "The hills" and i love Audrina's apartment..its like achocolate brown witha very mediterannean vibe! The carpet in my new rom will be navy blue so, help me choose a color that goes well with navy blue!!

I would pick a color that compliments the carpeting, but nothing too dark.  Dark walls make a room seem smaller, especially if there are not many windows.  You already have dark carpet.  Maybe light beige or very light blue with white trim.  If you have alot of colorful things for your walls, and nobody will smoke in your room, go white on the walls to make your hangings come alive.  Use a semi-gloss paint.  Dirt can be easily wiped off.  Those are just my preferences, but go wild and make it all yours, if your people will let you.  When I was 16, I wanted to paint my walls black, but my parents wouldn't let me.  Good luck, and have fun!

cream , will work well with the carpet n mature,

jazz up the room, with lots of lil things like candles n flowers, n pictures on yr walls

play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. I think a blue-violet like "solitude" (# 6535) would be a great color choice.
