What color should i paint my room?!?

Well I'm not going to so much tell you what color you should pain it because its YOUR ROOM. make it your own. use colors you like and the ones that flatter your room most. I suggest you going to the hardware store like Home Depot or Lowes and then getting bunches and bunches of paint samples just all the colors you like don't worry about matching them yet! this is the funnest part.

Then when you get home go into the room you're going to paint and sit there with all the paint samples. hold it up against the wall or test it with the lighting do what you have to do and match up the color(s) you like.

As far as design...This is fun too there are several things that would be fun to do.

Stripes depending on which way you paint the stripes you'll get different effects. If you paint them sideways it'll elongate your room or box it in. if you do them up and down it'll make your room look big and tall.

play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think it would look cool to paint three large horizontal stripes around your room. Measure the height of your wall & divide by three. Then paint the bottom third some thing like "kendal green" (# 6467), then the middle "manitou blue" (# 6501) and then the top third "cargo pants" (# 7738). It will look terrific.
