  2. some type of blue

  3. With you having the white and cream you could go with any color.  I would use whatever your favorite color is.  A cream yellow or khaki and mint goes good with most things.

  4. Your best bet is to start with an "inspiration piece."

Think about what colors you love ... don't think about how they might translate into your room, just think about what 'speaks' to you.  See if you can find something - a throw pillow, bedding set, ladies scarf, fabric swatch, abstract art piece - anything that has colors in it that you love, love, love.  If it's something inexpensive, buy it!  If not, print a pic of it from the computer!  Now you have a stepping-off point.

Let's say, for instance, that you like this piece of art:

(see 3rd painting from the top, "Delightful")

There are a lot of colors in it, and it has an amazing texture.  With this as an inspiration piece, you could paint your walls a soft gray color, (you can even use a textured paint - like Ralph Lauren River Rock or Suede), then use the other colors and warmer tones as accents in the space.  Your existing accessories would coordinate, as there are cream and white tones in the painting.

You could use crinkle fabric curtains in any number of colors:

You could even combine two colors - one for panels (like red) and another for a swag or valance (like purple).

Maybe you will want to use softer, warmer tones (but with a pattern) for bedding:

... and then top off the bed with some eye-catching throw pillows:

The possibilites are endless, but if you stay focused on a color scheme, you should be able to put together a room that will 'sing!'
