What color should my date's tux be? (photo inside)?

that is my dress for prom, it's actually an even light blue in person

i need advice on the colors my date should wear for his tuxedo.

Since the dress is such a light color, should my date wear white, with a pink or blue vest and tie?

I just think black may be too dark, what do you think?

Call me old fashioned, but a prom tux should be black! He could then wear accessories to match your dress.

I think your date should wear a black tux with a lavender vest, bow tie and hankerchief to match  that color in your dress. That way you both will have dominant colors and still match with a secondary (minor) color. I hope you too have a great time what ever he chooses
