  1. A color that compliments their hair and skin tone.  Technically not part of the bridal party, so they can go with any color they wish.

  2. Not pool, not silver, not black, nor white. Any other colour which they each look good in and flatters them. Let them each choose.

  3. It depends on what colour dresses they own.

  4. What sort of color is pool?

  5. They should wear whatever colours they look good in.  It's not necessary for the Mothers to coordinate with the wedding party.

Having said this, pool is kind of a pastel type colour so something similar would be nice on the Mothers.  Coral, salmon, mint or sage green, peach, gold.  Any of these colours would fit with the 'look' of your wedding.

  6. I'd let them pick any color they want. My mom looks terrible in certain colors(like tans and grays), but looks great in green. It's personal taste and choice, they know they can't wear white, so it shouldn't matter. Nice color for the bridesmaids by the way, that's the same color I chose

  7. I'd say the MOG should wear a navy and hte MOB should wear a tan/off-white since that's what the MOB usually wears......

  8. Navy Blue would be nice or a sliver color

  9. Um I don't think it really matters for the MOB or MOG because they dont stand up with the bridal party. But maybe have them go with some type of blue. I am in a wedding using the pool color...also from Davids Bridal! We tried a lot of beautiful dresses there today!

  10. Many people forget the Mother of the bride and the Mother of the groom, is a very special day for them too! There babies aren't babies anymore and in a way they feel a loss on that special day! I feel they should have the most elegant dresses they can afford for that special occasion!

They have a right to shine too! Because without them, there wouldn't be grooms and brides! I would say it would be up to them what they wanted to wear, either with close colors to the wedding party or close to each other! They need to be seen by the guest too as really part of the wedding! Even if there  not right up with the wedding group during the ceremony!

Face it, there very proud Mothers on wedding days of there children, and nothing should ever take that away from them, it's there day to shine too! Too many people forget about how the Mothers really feel and need to feel that importance on them special days! The Mothers need to be honored and cherished as well! It sure doesn't hurt to put Mothers on a pedestal on special occasions too!

I myself have talked to Davids Bridals about making elegant dresses for the mothers too! I had told them, that the Mothers have a right to stand out from the guest too!

  11. Go to David's Bridal and look for other dresses in coordinating colors!  You could do pink or purple or green or yellow or almost any color in a complementing shade!

  12. A darker blue would work well.  The 'pool' color from David's is kind of aqua-like, so I would use a navy.

However, it is not necessary for the mothers to coordinate with the wedding.  They aren't actually in the wedding, so complimentary colors would be fine.  Actually, most of the mothers I have seen in weddings are either wearing black, brown or a shade of dark blue.

  13. Green (sage/celadon) would be nice.  A nice navy blue.  Yellow.  I would stay away from red and orange.  Also not a huge fan of pink and purple.  You want them to go with the color scheme somewhat since they will be in formal pictures.
