  1. green.  It will never get as big as the ones in the supermarket (well mine dont!) and it will probably look knobbly but trust me, the home grown cucumbers are delicious !


  2. darkish green. it shouldnt have any of the white k***s on it when ready to pick, or only a few of the white dots

  3. Green is an ideal colour for a cucumber and it should be about 10 - 12 inches long (25 - 30 cms). The overall diameter should be about 1.5 inches (5 cms).  

  4. It should be green. When it starts to turn white it's getting over ripe. However, the length will vary depending on what type of cucumber you plant. Last year my father planted cukes that grew over 12 inches. This year he planted cukes that are much shorter when fully mature. Look on the package the seeds came in. The back of the package will tell you how many days the cuke takes to reach maturity. However, that number will vary with the amount of sun you have. Cukes like sun.
