What color should we paint walls for our guestroom? The carpet is an older light blue, cream and tan mix.

I would go with a light tan pulling from the carpet colors.  Cream is kinda over done and "rentalish" and blue with the blue carpet might be a little over blue kinda like a nursery.

I too like the sherwin williams website.  Just remember yellow is blue's complimentary color.  Yellow accessories will always look good.  I don't think cream is over done.  I think a cream with yellow tones could be very restfull and look great.  Good luck and have fun.

I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes.
