What color streak or highlights should I get?

Question

I have extremely dark hair, to the literal point of black, and I would like to highlight or streak my hair, but I'm not too sure with what color. I was thinking along the lines of maybe a blue color, then a silver/grey (Since Silver is my favorite color, alongside white) but then ..I feel I just sound silly. I thought maybe a hot pink but I'm not exactly big on pink. What do you think? Any suggestions?

Most likely a teal blue would look really pretty on your hair. My best friend had to make the same decision and she went with a teal light blue and it looks gorgeous!

I have hair just like yours! At first, I had light brown highlights, and it looked pretty good, but I felt it wasn't loud enough. So I got red :) Red looks really good with dark hair, and should be the "pop of color" you're looking for! Blue would be cool too, but red looks more professional while still being awesome. I wouldn't recommend silver or grey, just because you might end up looking old (salt n pepper) or like a skunk. Either way, not good. Good luck on your choice though!!

I think maybe a blues and reds are nice. Maybe purple.

If you're going very light (like white) you will HAVE to bleach your hair in order for the white or silver to look right. Which can result in very VERY dry hair. Not pretty.

But I'm going to say red.

Maybe like a nice blue strand in the front, with a silver streak right next to it, that would look awesome!

dont do it silver of white, it will look like ur hair is going gray. i would not do hot pink with your dark hair. so it sounds like your best bet is blue. good luck :)

A plum, with maybe a few silver or bleach blonde

In black I think pink or purple would looks the best just my opinion.  Its not too out there or anything maybe red instead of pink?

I'd be weary of silvers, blues, and greens becase they tend to either make you look pasty, or fade to an odd gray color.  Pinks, oranges, reds and yellows usually look and last the best.  Purples can look good too, as long as it has more of a red tone than a blue one.
