  1. Take samples of your colours to a tile shop and match them up. I think you would be well advised to stay away from 'shiny white' tiles! The salesperson will be able to advise you once you have given them your specific requirements for the floors in question. Like high or low traffic area, pets, children, style of room, type of room, etc. Take your time and choose very carefully as a hasty choice will be very costly! Good luck.

  2. Most of it is going to decide on the amount of traffic and if you have animals. High gloss tiles are nice, but normally like granite, marble, and other high gloss tiles; are easy to scratch or chip. You will notice imperfections in them very easily. I'm not sure about the area, but you should also consider trying to clean the grout lines. If you go with a bright white grout to match the floor, the small spots darkening with time, dirt, and stains will drive you crazy.

  3. as a ceramic tiler, ide strongly advise against white tiles on a main floor area, as they will show every speck of dust ect, i can guarantee they will need to be swept at least 3 times a day. not to many people have the time to do that these days,,,,lol

  4. No way. That high gloss white wont look right with your wall color. Why not pick a colored tile? At least a taupe or maybe a white tile and a colored tile pattern...kinda like a black and white checked pattern.
