I asked this yesterday, got some good answers. The baked clay is a bit too bright for me. I am now thinking somewhere a medium green. Any suggestion for a modern shade? I'm going to be using Dunn Edwards paint. Please no avocado green!!! so not olive-ish either.

btw, i did try roomvue.com, but have problem getting an account, keep on saying i need to login to upload, but i did??

  1. mint green

  2. You can go to HGTV.com.

They have a color match section and loads of sample kitchens.

I think a lighter color since the cabinets are dark. Perhaps a light warm orangish shade or something in the yellow family would look nice and add a good contrast.

  3. I don't know the colors you've used in the rest of your house, but I would do a light steel blue.  It's a nice, warm, soothing modern color.  It will also go great with any appliances you choose.  Then is you want a nice pop of color you might try raspberry accents.  It'll give the feel of the "pop of red" but raspberry has more blue in it without being purple.  In my opinion (and I always have one when it comes to color...lol) this would be a great color combination with black counters and maple (light) cabinets.  Hope my answer helps.  Good luck and have fun!!!!!

  4. I went on the Dunn Edwards website, and I really like the color called "potted plant" (# DE 5626):

  5. I would say maybe a beige because i have a simular kitchen and it looks quite nice.....also maybe try an inbetween green...like not too dark but not too bright!

  6. A nice light green would be nice with those colors and it is modern, or what about a terra cotta (which is orange, but just pick a light one) Get colors swabs and pin them up to get an idea that's what I have to do. Try the greens, purples, oranges and yellows. Even a blue would be nice.

  7. YOu can't go wrong with white

  8. sage green is hot right now...and an awesome color for what you are working with

Also...black and white accents would be cool!
