What color wall should I use with travertine tile?

I am remodeling my bathroom and wonder what color will look best on my walls. I have a 12x12 light travertine tile, dark cherry double vanity and white under-mount sinks. Need a designer advise ;-)

play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. I think "ibis white" (# 7000) would look very clean & crisp. But if you think that would be too plain, then a blue like "denim" (# 6523) might look good.

If you was thinking about painting the walls then i would go for a beige colour that would compliment the floor tiles. This is a nice neutral look and it would go very well with the sinks and floor tiles.

travertine tile has so many different colors to be able to choose to match.  you didn't mention what type of countertops were installed.  i would choose a color within the travertine to paint your walls, go lighter or go darker.  if the lightest color you have in the tiles is a light beige, go beige and then go darker with your decorations (or go green, like a minty spa green, that goes great in bathrooms nowadays).  or go with the darker tones in the travertine, like the darker browns or the coppers (copper would look great on the wall) and tone down the accessories somewhat.  is the travertine on the floors only or on the walls around the tub or in the shower as well?  beige travertine gives so many decorating ideas that the sky is the limit.  good luck!
