  1. I'm not sure... But I think it was purple... then again it might have been mauve... Let me consult the oracle...

  2. uhhh I would have to say white???

  3. white...

  4. White.  Who's buried in Grant's Tomb? ;)

  5. See if you can find the very well known painting "Prayer at Valley Forge" by Arnold Friberg, which I have a print of hanging over my fireplace mantle, where Washington is kneeling beside his horse in prayer, and you'll see the horse is what I'd call "dirty white", with an equally "dirty white" mane and tail.  I'm sure there is a better term for the description "dirty white", but I'd bet if you'd Google (God how I hate that name) Arnold Friberg, or "Prayer at Valley Forge", you'd see the picture I'm talking about and make the call in your own words.  God Bless you.

  6. do u think we're idiots: WHITE

  7. George Washington's white horse was white... (actually, it was probably a grey that was old enough that his body color had turned to white... true white horses are very rare... horses with a greying gene are born a color (chestnut or bay or brown or black) then turn grey over time... when they're a few years old, they're usually a dark grey color which lightens over time until many horses become light enough that they look white.  true white horses have pink skin.  these "white" greys will have the ordinary dark skin color)

    however...

George Washington, the racehorse, was a gorgeous bay with a beautiful white marking on his face: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rockandrace...

unfortunately he died last year after suffering an ankle injury in the Breeders Cup Classic
