  1. Brown eyes are a dominant gene, especially in a baby who is half African American.  Generally, for a baby to have blue eyes, the gene has to be present somewhere on both sides of the family . . . but anything is possible!!

However, if I where a gambling woman, I would put my bet on brown.

  2. I would think probably brown since it is a more dominant trait and the baby will probably have a beautiful tone to her skin!!!

  3. Ok, well I know a thing or two about genetics.  You have a 25% chance of having a blue eyed baby.  However if your baby has brown eyes, there is a 66% they carry the recessive gene and you could have a blue eyed grandchild depending on the other parent.  But yes, you have a 1 in 4 chance of having a blue eyed baby.

  4. well, brown is dominant to blue. however, if u have a blue eyed ancestor anywhere in your family tree, u could have a blue eyed child.

  5. that'd be awesome if your child had your girlfriends eyes.. that would be so pretty! but then brown is the more dominant color but you never know.

  6. No one can say for sure, brown is most likely because it is a dominant color, but here's a link to an eye color predictor that will let you know the probabilities that takes into account your parents' eye color too to give a more accurate number: http://museum.thetech.org/ugenetics/eyeC...

  7. well, in order for your baby to have blue eyes, you BOTH need to be carrying the blue gene.  so, if someone in your family has blue eyes and there's a chance you're carrying the gene, there's a chance for either eye color.
