  1. Me & my whole family have brown or hazel eyes & my husband's eyes are blue.  My little girl has blue eyes. It's hard to say cause you would think brown would be more dominant.

  2. 75% chance of brown and 25% other color.  Brown is dominate.

  3. Brown's dominate, but it could surprise you. But my dad had green and my mom had brown, both my brothers got brown but I got green.

  4. both my parents have brown eyes, and all my relatives do as well, with the exception of my granny on my moms side, now I have blue eyes...

I guess you'll just have to wait and see

  5. most likely brown. It is the dominant gene.

  6. its so hard to tell. i have hazel and all my family dad, mom, sisters have a yellow. my husband has hazel and his mom has brown and his dad had light blue, and husband twin has hazel, older sis has blue and younger bro has brown. we have two kids together, son 3yrs, daughter almost 3 mos. they both have light blue eyes. weird cause out of us parents and grandparents only one had blue eyes, like my kids. im the only one with grand kids on my side, but on hubby's side a total of 6 grand kids all have blue eyes... crazy! you just dont know.

  7. I've heard that children take the color from their mothers side and it can jump back to as many as 6 generations.  Brown is the more dominant color though so, your baby will probably have brown eyes.  I've got brown and everybody on my moms side has brown.  Now, my husbands side has blue but all three of my boys have brown eyes.

Also, when you first have the baby, his/hers eyes will probably look a different color than what they will eventually be.  Don't get too excited if when born, they look blue or hazel right off the bat.  It can take a while for the real color to settle in.

  8. There is no way to tell at this point, but you can calculate the probability of various combinations.  Here's a site that has a simple chart.  It suggests that there's a 50% chance the baby will have brown eyes and a 50% chance for blue eyes, but no chance for green eyes.  (Hazel and violet aren't part of the simple statistics here.)

  9. Most babies when they are born have blue eyes.. But they will eventually probably change to brown since that is the dominant color!!
