  1. Go with a shabby chic white furniture. Deep purples and reds, with a few splashes of a lighter pink or even a muted green.

A Must Have is a stand up mirror, not one on the wall, but a looking glass type of one.

  2. Personally i'm painting my room tiffany blue with white moldings and this wall decal:

I'm getting a white comforter for my bed with blue pillows, and white curtains with silver accents.

I think it would definitely be something you could grow into for a long time.

  3. Interiors - Designers of the '20s and '30s loved unusual materials such as ebony, steel, and marble, often contrasting these black, metallic and gray hues against crisp pastels and jazz-era blues.

The result is a feeling of sensuous counterpoint, as color highlights the simple forms of the pieces displayed within the room.

Pale main colors serve as subtle backdrops to vibrant and theatrical accent colors. Walls are painted with soft creams, beiges, ivories and grays, while accents of chrome, cobalt, black, teal, aqua, green, coral, orange and red offer dramatic contrasts

  4. I second the Tiffany Blue style. paint the walls the tiffany blue color, get furniture a deep dark brown (instead of black) and maybe throw in some light creme color. use a silky/satiny duvet cover in the blue color. maybe a four poster bed (except they sometimes make the room feel smaller). a nice exotic chandelier with pearls and crystals.

    good luck.

  5. Beiges, golds, whites, pinks and burgandy.

  6. champagne colored walls or a tourquise room also pink is fabulous ( my room color)

    vintage cute tall lamps

    big curtains

    cute lounge chair

shag rug ( only if you have a hardwood floor!)

  7. The definite must haves  for your room right now would be Demask Wallpaper! its that kind of flowery vintage style and you can get any colour if u go to a paint store or something. You could do one wall of the demask wallpaper and do the three other walls a colour that goes with the wallpaper! You could also add a cool chandelier to yur room too for decoration!

I am doing my room in purple with demask wallpaper!

Heres a couple exaples of the pattern and different colours:

  8. I don't know where I saw this, but I think there was either a television show or magazine that did this exact same design you want. They used a beautiful pale pale brownish silvery  and silky material for the bedspread and pillows. They also used black for the bed's headboard and posters (if you want and can afford a post bed) and it was an enamel black paint. They also hung some old fashioned 1920's pictures in the same black enamel frames (which you could probably do on your computer) with a light sepia tinge. All of this silvery brown (and I mean PALE) gave off the impression of a very glamorous star's room from the 1920's. You could find things like jewelry boxes in silver and drape fake pearls over the edge and leave it open with old silvery brooches you can get at thrift stores for a couple of bucks. I don't know how to do this, but I think on HGTV they made a mirror look like it was old and had goldish crackled veins running through it. This made the mirror have the appearance of being very very old. (As I said, I personally don't know how to do this. You can check HGTV.com and search the episodes of various shows.) Hope this helps.

  9. Hi.  So many colors can look glamorous, and as with anything in decor, it all depends on the accessories and how you pull everything together.  Old Hollywood glamor might be achieved with a lacquer (or high-gloss) black or even navy.  A warm gray, when paired with white bedding, black accents and a pop of color (Tiffany blue, perhaps or a bright pink) would look really luxe.  Bring in an animal print (zebra is my favorite for glamor), and you'll be all set.
