I asked this question yesterday but I didn't put a picture with it, so I thought if I put up a picture it would be better to visualize.

so anyway, this is me:

it's not a very good picture but it's the most recent one I have.

I want to either get streaks of a different color or dye the underneath of it a different color, so what do you think?

  6. Black or orange!!

  7. dark brown  will you answer mine http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

  8. black or dark brown.

  9. I will tell you from experience; once you go black you can NOT go back! That is...unless you get it professionally taken out which can cost you a pretty penny (it cost me $400 just to go from black to medium brown with cut). Be sure its something you really want to invest in.

With that said...Nothing can go over the black dye, either. So if you want the vibrant red streeks within he black, you will want ot lighten those streeks first, then put red dye into them, then place black around them. I suggest getting help from a friend with some talent or just going to the salon for this one as it can be tricky and really fry the heck outta your hair if not done right.

If black isn't really worth all the cash, a dark brown can give you the same effects and not be so pricey to get rid of once you are ready for the next color. Also, you can usually place another color over it, yet again, if you want the vibrant color red, you will need to lighten. I notice in the pic you already had a red tent to your hair. The chemicals in the dye will pick up on this and tent any color you put on there, so be careful of this. Your brown will be a little reddish and the red streeks a bit more vibrant yet more subtle. It will still look amazing.

The chunk underneath is a bit easier to tackle at home but be sure not to do too drastic or too much or it ends up looking pretty odd.

Another tip is if you mess up, unless you absolutely have to, do not re dye your hair for atleast a few days and try to wait at most two weeks. Your hair will thank you. Invest in some good deep conditioning treatment (salon quaility) to help your hair stay healthy and prevent the frizzies.

Best of luck to you! I think the streeks will look great!
