What colors go well with a darker forest green?

Question

My husbands and his good friend have started a business and now it is time to put the decals on their work vans/trucks. Therefore we need to choose signature colors!

I think they should be navy, red, and light gray...

BUT my husband and his friend both really like dark forest green. Now we need one or two more complimentary colors.

It cant be yellow of gold though! Those are the colors or two very big companies in our area.

I was going to say light yellow until I saw you said no yellows.

So if not yellow, perhaps a beige or maroon/deep red color, both of those colors could actually work. The color choices would also depend on what type of business you have going. You could even go for a light mango/peach colour with a beige and that could look nice too.

Warm colors are good, they always give the customer a good vibe.

In the classic sense, red is the color that goes best with green because it makes it look richer and deeper.

Obviously, the choice of colors should reflect the nature of the business...

Anyway, in order to create a memorable logo, a good idea is to keep the interplay of colors simple. You mention wanting 3. Have you considered having only 2?

On the other hand, 3 colors are good if you want to project an idea of luxury.

I've seen these combos:

Royal Blue

Cream

Orange

But one good way to test it out is go to Home Depot and go to the paint section.   Take sample cards and put the colors together with your green.  You'll see first hand what goes good together.  REmember, whatever you choose, has to be easy to duplicate across various marketing materials.

You could try a silver or pearl white. I think that would look really nice. Hope I helped and good luck with the business!
