What colors should the stripes be in my room?

I was leaning toward either white and light blue stripes or the same light blue and a darker "light blue". FYI, these stripes are going to be horizontal.

I think that a light blue and a darker one would be more sophisticated. Light blue and white is too pastel so definetly go darker for an older look.

alternate blue using a semi gloss on one strip and a matte on the other looks awesome
