its actually not a color it is a compressed and reduced form of the light your eyes previously absorbed and burned to the receptor in your brain. This is why when you look at the sun and close your eyes the print of the shape of the sun can still be seen with eyes closed as with any other light.... your eyes are simply a lense that records what it sees... There is a theory that your eyes can see things before your brain processes them. In a nano second your eyes intake the image and process it to your brain but within those nano seconds you dont see anything until your brain can pick it up... the theory is that blind people have lost that ability and this is why they see nothing... becuase their eyes cannot record the images or the colors... so when you close your eyes and think you see a color it is actually not a color. If you sit in a black room... pitch black totally void of light... when your close your eyes it seems darker than usual... this is why most people feel at rest in a dark room becuase the eyes arent trying to process and record to the brain what it is seeing..... this is why it feels more relaxing... this is another reason why they say watching tv is bad for your eyes becuase so many lights and colors for the eyes to process over stimulate the eyes ability and eventually blurs its vision.... sorry if its to complex... i try to keep it simple as possible but i hope i answered your question.... If not ill try once more.... ITS NOT A COLOR ITS BASICALLY A STILL PICTURE OF ALL THE LIGHT YOU SAW.... AND BECUASE OF YOUR EYE-LIDS ITS A BLACK SHADE OVER IT... the human body is  confusing ahahaa

If a light is on when I close my eyes then an orange yellow color. If there are no lights then it's dark.
