What colour carpet would look great if I'm having light blue walls?

Personally. Im a laminate flooring gal.. but if your strictly a carpet person a neutral colour like beige would look nice (just hope you haven't got anyone to messy living with you hehe!)You could even have a darker blue or a grey.. it depends what your other main colour is?

As paint colors are easily changed and carpet is not, why not go with a neutral taupe that would still match should you decide to change to red or green walls on down the road?

Also, using a neutral color will prevent you from the possibility of having to recarpet if you decide to sell on down the road (I once had a house full of rose carpet that matched our stuff, but became an issue when we had to sell).

Another option - especially if you suffer from allergies or are trying to go green, is to NOT wall-to-wall carpet. Instead do a environmentally friendly floor like bamboo planking. It is beautiful, durable, and you don't have to worry about spills or dust mites or vacuuming - then use a colorful area rug (much more easly replaced or cleaned)

beige maybe. Definately not white. It stains way too easy. Trust me, I'm talking from experience. We had white carpet in our bedroom thinking it wouldn't get stained. Ha! We were sooo wrong. I would stick to beige. You don't want a dark color either. You can see any lint that sticks to it and would to vacuum several times a day. Again, talking from experience. Maybe you can find some samples from a flooring store and see for yourself what you think you'd like.
