Question:

What colour clothes do I wash this with?

I have a dress which has a black skirt area with a black and white striped shirt attached to the top.

Do I wash this dress with my white clothes or with my black clothes? If it's in with dark, won't the white become discoloured, and if it's in with white, won't the black skirt discolour the other whites?

  1. I would handwash this on its own for the 1st time to see if any dye comes out in the water.

    If it does, dark wash.

If it doesn't - take your pick!

    Best wishes.

  2. Go for darks and use a colour catcher (it's a little sachet that you put in with your wash).   Vanish make them, there are other makes, sometimes called a colour magnetic.  They great , I use em all the time.  Most SuperMarkets will stock them.

  3. To be on the safe side I would hand wash it on its own.

  4. It will be easier , & safer to wash it separately in the laundry sink or a basin as some folks have suggested here .

(lukewarm water & gloves may be needed to protect hands).

    cheers!

  5. Hand-wash it separately then..

  6. if you ask me id never put it in the wash and just wash it by hand

  7. When i do the laundry mine is mixed with my whites i use coloured catcher this is a piece of disposable tissue that helps your colour's not to run with your whites, i have used this for years and it will not fade your clothes.

  8. then wash it on its own thats what i would do.

  9. Wash on it's own.

  10. Wash it by hand and see if the dye comes out in the water. If it does, don't put it in the washing machine. Wash it by hand. If no dye comes out, then put it in the wash with your whites.
