What colour furniture goes with brown carpets

I''ve just bought my new home and had the carpets fitted. I wanted a nice mid grey colour to go with my black furniture BUT the carpets looked very different in the shop... it turns out they are brown in normal daylight (i'm devistated - but it's too late to change them now!). The walls are plain white. My question is will my black furniture still go? I know black and brown can clash at times.

u need creamy white furniture

I would go with red accent and beige furniture.
