Hi, i have had my bathroom walls tiled which looks absolutely gorgeous the tiles are 80cm long by 32 cm wide and look fantastic, i have a natural stone mosaic running through the middle and the tiles themselves are a natural stone colour. we couldnt afford to get the floor done at the same time but have just saved enough money to get them done, the tiler came round today and put the floor tiles down whcih are the same colour as the wall but are 30 cm x 30cm this looks lovely, He has asked me what colour grout i would like on the floor. I have got ivory grout on the wall, he said that limestone may be a better colour on the floor because ivory would show up marks, dirt etc, however limestone wouldnt! Now i dont know what to do, i am so indecisive anyway that this is really confusing me!! Should i go for limestone grout or would it look odd or should i go for ivory and it look grubby in 6 months time!!! Oh what to do!! The tiles are Padova tiles and are in topps tiles at the moment!

  1. Get the darkest matching color grout that you can for the floor tiles.

  2. The minor contrast might be pleasing to the eye.

Dirt can be cleaned up,you know your own bathroom cleaning habits and needs.

Choose the color you want and visual desire for your bathroom.

Just know what products to use on floor grout for cleaning.

Make sure it is sealed properly.

    Enjoy...

  3. Go with the limestone.  We have travertine in our dining room, with limestone grout, and although we have a high traffic area across one area, the grout does not ever look dirty.

  4. Your tiler is correct. I used white grout on a bathroom floor and from day 1 it looked grubby.

  5. I would take the tiler's advice as he sees lots of different floors and will have a better idea of what colours match the tiles.
