Question:

What colour is paint before the actual dye/coloring is added?

I suppose the answer may differ between different types of paints, but I'm not too bothered - it's just a Q that came up in arb conversation the other day!

  1. It depends on where its from. Now you can usually find paint that starts from white. If you wanted to do it like the indians did, you would have no base color in all of them... they would be paints that came from nature.


  2. White....pure white.

  3. i would say either white or off white maybe, but i'm not positive

  4. It's always been white before the pigment(s) is/are added.
