What colour should I get my hair streaked?

Question

I want to get my hair streaked, but i'm not sure on what colour I should do. I have DARK brown hair, it's almost black, but in the sun it's brownish. It's layered and I have side bangs.

I don't want an outrageous colour like pinks or greens.

I'm thinking a red, or reddish brown. Even maybe a dark purple.

I'd say light brown, dark blonde, dark orange/reddish, or as you said a dark reddish brown. I have dark brown hair and i got [well had] a orangish/brownish color but it's not like a crazy and wild color and its pretty so good luck and i hope i helped =)

get like a dark color. maybe a lil lighter than ur hair. u dont want to much of a contrast unless u want to stand out.

Well I have dark brown hair and I am thinking about getting blue, and it looks good in most peoples hair. My friend Ana has like black hair and purple in it! So, I would go with purple it looks really cool I know 2 people with dark hair and purple streaks.

Try something subtle first, that way if it is not enough, you can add to it. I think a dark purple looks really pretty if you have a darker skin complextion.  If you are more pale, then do the reddish brown. I would consult with a haistylist too.  Ask your friends, they can help! Or try something temporary that washes out to see of you like it.  Good luck!

i have the same exact hair as u. i am getting caramel highlights soon, but i think dark purple would look great, but reddish brown would look better, i think.

Don't go for purple because after a while it will turn this really bad light purple. But anyway i think you should go for a reddish brown.

Auburn highlights would be nice. Ones that frame the face.
