Here is a photo of my kitchen counter. The cupboards are all white. What colour should I paint the walls that will look good with those counters? Kitchen is pretty small.

  1. wow from the picture that counter top looks ugly! A yellow Not a BRIGHT but more a dull yellow would do

  2. Yellow!

  3. I have that exact color for my counters too, and ours is a galley kitchen so I know small... When we bought our house, I wanted to do something dramatic with the wall color because it was our first home and for the first time, we didn't need to ask a landlord's permission! You're going to think it's nuts, but we went with a concord grape color on the walls (think grape jelly). It looks amazing! For accessories, I have some dish cloths with bunches of grapes on them (which have the green leaves and purple grapes). If I did it again today, I'd have bought the towels first and did a color-match to get the same purple. I loved it so much that I carried the purple walls over to our dining room - with light oak floors and wrought iron accessories, it looks beautiful!

  4. Maybe a yellowish-cream. That would go well with green. Also (If you feel up to it) you could put some mirrors in your kitchen. That makes it look bigger and spacier. Have fun! :D

Macadamia would look really good or I agree with the lighter yellow

    Good Luck!!! : )

  6. A very pale dusty green or yellow

  7. Without even looking at your photo, I would suggest that you need to select a single colour that is present in the benchtop and go with that, you can't go wrong. And because you said that the kitchen is quite small it would be advisable to go with a lighter colour to open the space and create the illusion that it is bigger than it really is. Get a couple of small sample pots and paint small swatches on the walls and live it for a few days, checking it out in different light. Its worth doing this at the beginning and making sure you're happy with the colour before you go all out and paint the whole thing and decide you hate it.

    Happy painting!

  8. i'd go with a light golden yellow and then have Dark Red accessories! OR Paint the walls deep red and have Golden Yellow accessories!

  9. A deep beige or creamy yellow would look nice. Never mind the idiot who said the counter was ugly. I like the marble - very rustic.
