Question:

What colour should i paint my door?

i have a room im doing up that has a door to go outside and its an ugly colour. im going to paint the door and the window frames.. the room has brick walls and white roof/cornace and merbue floor boards..

what colour do you think would look good?

  1. I would recommend in the blue-green range of colors. Especially if the door is on the east or south side. A periwinkle blue would create a feeling of calmness and connect you to the outdoor sky. A teal would be a little more exciting. Green could provide a sense of life growing.

    Alternatively, rust would blend well with the brick if the door is on the north or west.  

    If your door has a pattern to it, consider doing it in multiple colors. I had panels and painted the edges, inner squares and sides different colors. If flat, you could create a pattern. Yellow could make a good accent with either or could be used on the east.
