What comes first: eyeliner or mascara?

I'm not too good with makeup and was wondering which do I put on first. If you have any techniques that are helpful, please write them!! Thanks!

first what you should do is use a eyelash curler and curl your eyelashes first, then put on a coat of mascara then let it dry for about 1min then apply a second coat on. then put on the eyeliner. now if your talking about liquid eyeliner then you should put that on first.

you really have to figure out what works best for you.

i always put mascara on first because im messy.i let it dry for about 5 minutes then i do eyeliner.i dont use eyeshadow.

You would want to put on mascara LAST because it might smudge while ur putting on the other makeup.

Well, i usually put on mascara first. if it clumps, I suggest putting your fingers through it a bit, it seperates them. I have really long lashes, so I curl mine after applying because they stick out every way! if you wear eyeshadow, I suggest wetting the applicator brush first. It just keeps the eyeshadow from going in your lashes and falling under your eyes, plus it keeps it on better.  Good luck with your makeup!   :)

Eyeliner first and be sure to use a fresh mascara. Don't leave it for longer than 6 months without replacing it, otherwise it can get clumpy and unpleasant to put on. That's what I'm using at the moment, you can get different colours according to your colouring.

eyeliner. if you put on mascara first, you'll smudge the mascara onto your fingers while putting on the eyeliner.

order of eye makeup:

eye shadow

eye liner

mascara

I put eyeliner on first just because sometimes it's harder to get in there with curled, hard lashes in front of you.
