What comes in a MRE?

I know that they are not all the same but what can I expect like what might come as the main course, desert and other things like that. Like just a list of possibilites would be nice

the best one I think is the hamburger. with two pieces of wheat bread, bbq sauce, gatorade stuff. and possibly pound cake for desert.

im not sure how to answer the question other than refer you to a place that sells MREs and have you eat them all and find out for yourself because theres something like 29 of them.

as for what comes in them, in no particular order...

cheese, cheese with jalapenos, bbq sauce, tabasco sauce, crackers, wheat snack bread, beverage base powder (gatorade), dairy milk shakes (chocolate, strawberry and vanilla), spanish rice, mashed potatoes, charms, tootsie rolls, skittles, m&m's, shortbread cookies, shortbread cookies with toffee, apple sauce, and a bunch of other stuff i cant remember at the moment.

then of course you have your main meals, which im not even going to try and name all those. some are good, and some ive even seen dogs not eat. some it seams like they make for a little while and then you dont see them anymore (4 fingers of death, anyone! and chicken tetrazini was the SHIZNIT!).

some are more balanced as far as rationing goes, and some are like 'well that was a cool snack'. once you start eating them, you'll know exactly what i mean.

the one my bros loved were the spaghetti, because it came with crackers and some jalapeno cheese spread, it was actually good. and the ones he got when he was in IRAQ had a lil candy in them.
