I have a Provisional driving licence, and recently bought a car to practice in before my test. I also had a bit of dilemma last week as I was confused in which company would offer me a good deal in terms of car insurance.

I did my research and have gone with - BELL INSURANCE(part of the Admiral group). They quoted me £670.00 for the year, and I pay £57.00 p/m which also includes Personal Injury. You honestly won't get better than that.

For automobile insurance the most efficient way to get a low quote is do a rate comparison on auto policies. Make certain that you pick similar policies with the same deductibles, auto model, zip code, etc so that all things are a good comparison.

Surprisingly when I shopped around I got mine cheapest at M&S....I know shocker!!

Try Endsleigh too as they are a student insurer.

P.S I was 23 when I got my car insured for the first time in May!  x

You can try this company - http://carinsurance.yoll.net - I personally have their car insurance in London.

As I know their policy for young drivers with provisional licence is not such expensive as from other companies.

If confused hasn't come up with the goods, try buying an Auto Trader & ring around the brokers in the classifieds; many of them specialise in young or convicted drivers.

I would have thought that your insurance will be sky high from anyone until you pass your test though.
