I'm looking for a 5.1 setup no need for dvd players or any of that c**p, just an a/v reciever and speakers. I'm using it for my PS3 in my room so it doesn't have to be huge. I'm looking to keep it cheap, like around 200-300 dollars.

  1. they all do :]

  2. I have an old Sony STR-K660P, just great.

  3. Logitech.

    http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/speake...

    $99, high quality.

  4. Wal-mart or curcus city

  5. There are some nice deals to be had on some about to be discontinued Infinity speakers, from such suppliers as Vanns and BPAV. Beta 10s at $90 each, shipping included.

At the lower price end, most 5.1 receivers will be at least good. Look for what inputs and outputs they have, not all are equal in this area. Then, test out the speakers, a lot of packages tend to lowball the speakers.

It might be worth waiting for a few more $$$, to get some good speakers.

Theres also some good deals through Amazon:

Polk Audio RM6750 5.1 Channel Home Theater Speaker System -Set of Six, Black- $226, add a good reciever (Like, say, a Onkyo TX-SR304S 5.1 Channel Home Theater Receiver -Silver- $152), and you're good to go, for about $378.

  6. ebay

  7. umm i'd chek ebay

  8. you can get cheaper than 200-300.

    get sony, or logitech.
