NJ Transit is to buy several of these for 2010 and 2011.

It can run on electric and non-electric routes.

  1. I'm not sure what NJ Transit has purchased but I am aware of three versions that have been built thus far:  the Electro-Motive Division's FL9 (a version of the builder's popular F series of the 1940s and 1950s), General Electric's P32AC-DM (a version of its Genesis series), and Electro-Motive Division's newer DM30AC which operates on the Long Island Railroad.
