What company sells the most fluorescent light bulbs?

This Green c**p makes me sick; I just wanted to know which one of Al Gore's GREEN hedge funds is making the most money?

  1. GE and Phillips, I would guess, but they already had a near monopoly on light bulbs, so they don't really stand to make much money on the change to CFLs.

    Money isn't the only reason people do things.

Philips electronics invented the type of curly cfc bulbs we are now using more than 20 years ago but they didn't sell very well. in 05 Philips started marketing the cfc's as a green product & spent $270,000 to hire 3 lobbying firms to influence the 06  mid term elections, the democrats got their majority.

    in 07 the new energy bill was passed that included a provision to out law incandescent(instant on) bulbs by 2012

    philips also did some lobbying & donated to environmental groups in Australia. Australia's parliament outlawed incandesent bulbs in feb. of 07.

    although I believe their patent has expired,I'm buying philips stock.how about you?
