UPS is going to charge $700, the post office won't accept the package. Is there a private company or something that would be cheaper? We live in Miami if that's any help.

  1. I tried sending perfume to Colombia last year and the post office wouldnt accept it and fedex wanted like $70. My aunt works for a cargo/freight company that sends stuff to colombia so I sent it with her. It is more secure and wasnt much mroe expensive than sending it through the post office. Maybe you can find one in Miami. Im sure they have those casas de envio there( like Costamar).

  2. There are these small stores in spanish neighborhoods that sell calling cards and send money to Ecuador.  They also send packages it is called encomiendas.  Ask them, the rates are soo much cheaper and it is trustworthy dont worry.

  3. Can the contents be put in more than one package ?,

if so, the Post Office probably will accept it and the

rates are a lot lower than UPS.

Much depends on Ecuadors requirements on postal

    item size and weight.

  4. A friend has sent me several packages from Miami to Lima and everytime she did it via UPS is was a nightmare as she paid expedited and it took them 3 weeks! Lots of paperwork, etc. Try DHL or Skynet (based in Miami) which in my experience has been far better. Not sure about the price, but it is way better than UPS for sure.
