What computer field is in demand?

Which pays more and is most popular, IT networking, software engineering, web design??? What should I get a degree in?

Application Programming and Web Design are in demand. However, I would recommend Application Programming as it is more "esoteric" seeing that not many have the knowledge to delve that much into computers. In this day of age, just about anyone can set up a web page.

My sister is in web design and she is doing great right now.

I would try to get a degree in computer engineering first if you could b/c that's where most of the money is.

another very successful path could be IT networking from what i've heard about it , but im not sure on the details of it.

Great colleges for any kind of engineering obviously there are the big schools like MIT and Kettering but there are also quite a few very highly thought of engineering and computer schools that are hidden away.
