What computer resolutions are the equivlant to the following television resolutions?

480p: 848 by 480

720p:1280 by 720

1080p:1920 by 1080

480i and 1080i do not have a corresponding computer resolution as they are not compatible(they are interlaced whereas computer resolutions are progressive) If you have any more questions drop me an email

The above mentioned resolutions:

720x480, 1280x720 and 1920x1080 are correct, make sure you set the refresh rate accordingly. 30Hz for interlaces and 60 Hz for progressive.

TVs are limited to:

480:640

480:720

720:1280

and

1080:1920

Any graphics card that can handle these resolutions would be a perfect match. If you have a 1080p TV it will sort things out automatically. If you connect using HDMI, it will pass the EDID information between your TV and graphics card and set everything up for you automatically.
