I am working with a 37 year old man with Down's Syndrome. We need sometype of laptop that converts handwriting to text. We would also want to use a keyboard.

  1. Introduce him to a computer keyboard first. you can buy a large key keyboard probably from a computer part store or look online for one. People who have Downs Syndrome normally have larger fingers than an average person so getting large keys might help.

Yes, definitely a computer is a good idea for him. Why not? He would have one if he wasn't born with Downs Syndrome right? I suggest getting a regular desktop computer. This way if he gets angry, he won't damage the computer.

    Good luck.
