  1. The one who is first at any endeavor is usually universally renowned.

    To me, it doesn't matter what effect he had on native Americans.  If Columbus hadn't succeeded, someone else would have in a few more years.  America could not remain isolated from the rest of the world.  Infiltration by Europeans was as inevitable as the sun rising in the morning.


  2. When you seethe it all down to the essence you find the nature of man, imperialism.
