What conditions influenced the rise of Islam in Arabia?

This is what I have so far:

A. Islam initially had only supporters from Muhammad’s Arab town and the Bedouins among who had grown up with. However, because Islam offered a monotheistic belief system that belonged to no single tribe, and therefore could not divide the peoples of Arabia any further, Islam became popular among the Arabians. The new religion provided a single and supernatural source of authority and control, while supporting equality between races and genders

Am I on the right track? I'm totally confused, honestly and the textbook is not helping!
