What configuration cordless phone will work in india?

1. 5.8Ghz or 2.4Ghz ?

2. 900Mhz or 500Mhz or 400Mhz ?

i m planning to buy a cordless phone from US, but want to know what specifications pone works fine in india!

please help.

  1. All of them should work since you're buying both the base and the handsets (the complete set).

    I would get the newest version - DECT 6.0.


  2. It doesn't matter. Frequency is used to communicate between headset and the base. I assume you buying both headset and the base, so whatever you like will work.

    Most modern electronics work with both 110 and 220/240 voltages, so in many cases all you need is just physical outlet adapter.  5.8Ghz or 2.4Ghz is what you should get, as they have excellent range and virtually no noise. 900Mhz is really old, don't buy one if you can find it.  I never heard about 500/400 Mhz phones, those are probably prehistoric :)

  3. both, this is only a broadcast frequency. you should be more worried about power adaptations.
