  2. Audio cables from the TV to the receiver. Depending the outputs from your TV. You can use the white & red RCA cables or an optical audio cable if you have an output from you TV for it.

  3. as the person above said, it all depends on your Tv outputs. some Tvs have optical and digital out outputs those are the best if you have a 5 speaker system,for 2 speaker systems you can use RCA cables from Audio Out ports on your tv to Audio In ports on your surround sound. When you do this you will get suround sound for everything that is displayed on your TV. it is not enough to use RCA cables for 5 speaker systems since sound will only work for the front speakers and not the rear speaker.
