What constitutes an AP class?

I would like to know what constitutes an ap class.

AP is Advanced Placement for college credit.  You would have to pay a fee to take the test and to process the credits.  They are always designated as such, usually with an AP in the title, such as AP English.  Spanish 3 would not be one.
